It's playoff time, and Nicolet had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes on Saturday. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Blue Dukes recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Cara Blackford paced Nicolet's offense, picking up 21 kills. Blackford got some help from Reagan Drescher and her 35 assists. Drescher was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.
Nicolet's win bumped their record up to 17-12. As for Whitefish Bay, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-21.
Looking ahead, Nicolet will face off against Divine Savior Holy Angels on Thursday. Whitefish Bay does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
