Basketball Recap: Dominic Alepra's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Carlinville over North Mac

Carlinville lost against North Mac back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Carlinville Cavaliers took a 52-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Mac Panthers. The Cavaliers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Carlinville's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dominic Alepra, who went 6 for 15 on his way to 18 points and five rebounds. Triston Thompson was another key player, putting up eight points.

Carlinville's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for North Mac, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-16.

Carlinville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 46-33 victory against Lincolnwood on the 8th. As for North Mac, they will challenge Pittsfield at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
