Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Thomas Nelson). Everything went their way against the Holmes Bulldogs on Friday as they made off with a 38-14 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Generals as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Thomas Nelson's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Holmes, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Coming up, Thomas Nelson will be playing in front of their home fans against Ohio County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Holmes, they will square off against Lewis County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39.88 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
