Meanwhile, Wyoming East gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 56-40 victory over PikeView.
Wyoming East's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cadence Blackburn, who scored 25 points along with 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Maddie Clark, who scored 11 points along with 4 steals.
Ravenswood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Wyoming East, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Ravenswood was taken down by Wyoming East 67-37 when the teams last played back in March. Can Ravenswood avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
