Baseball Recap: Brown County Comes Up Short

Brown County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Austin. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Brown County of the 10-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Jade Woolems made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Tommy Buccos, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Brown County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Austin, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Looking ahead, Brown County will challenge Bloomfield at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Austin, they will face off against Scottsburg at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
