Baseball Recap: Newton South Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Newton South can now relate to. They came up short against the St. John's Prep Eagles on Sunday, falling 6-0. The shutout was out of character for the Lions seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in April.

Newton South's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for St. John's Prep, their win bumped their record up to 13-8.

As of now, neither Newton South nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
