Lipscomb Academy proved they can win big on Monday (they won by seven) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the Overton Bobcats 5-4. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Lipscomb Academy's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Overton, the loss snapped their winning streak at ten games and leaves them with a 13-5 record.

Coming up, Lipscomb Academy will challenge Harpeth Hall at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mustangs are facing the Honeybears at the right time seeing as the Honeybears are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. Overton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
