Softball Recap: Camelback Spartans vs. Carl Hayden Community Falcons

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Desert Ridge, Camelback was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Carl Hayden Community Falcons by a score of 17-13. The victory was some much needed relief for the Spartans as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Zitlalit Perez Corrales made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over 4.1 innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off only one hit. Perez Corrales was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

In other batting news, Camelback got a big performance out of Emily 'Lotus' Bautista, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Samay Ramos, who scored two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
