Softball Recap: DeMotte Christian Comes Up Short

DeMotte Christian and Pioneer squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but DeMotte Christian had to settle for second. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 14-1. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Knights couldn't push the score so high this time.

DeMotte Christian has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Pioneer, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-10.

DeMotte Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pioneer, they will take on North Newton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
