Football Recap: Miami-Yoder Buffaloes vs. Hanover Hornets
Miami-Yoder lost against Hanover back in October of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Miami-Yoder Buffaloes were dealt a 68-14 defeat at the hands of the Hanover Hornets. The Buffaloes haven't had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Although Miami-Yoder took the loss, they still got scores from Isaac Labrecque and Gavin Howard.
Miami-Yoder wouldn't let Hanover keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. Miami-Yoder can thank Jack Ejlersen and Howard for forcing all of them. That's the most rushing yards Ejlersen has posted since back in September of 2023.
David Byers went supernova for Hanover, rushing for 98 yards and five touchdowns on only eight carries. Byers' longest rush was for an incredible 76 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Junior Diaz, who rushed for 46 yards and two touchdowns.
Miami-Yoder now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Hanover, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Miami-Yoder will welcome Flagler at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hanover, they will take on Manzanola at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
