Having struggled with six losses in a row dating back to last season, Crosspoint Christian turned things around against Non Varsity Opponent on Tuesday. They blew past Non Varsity Opponent 14-3. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Wildcats' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, Quilcene gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Darrington as Quilcene made off with a 9-3 win.

Oliver Hopkins was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Hopkins was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Crosspoint Christian's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Quilcene, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.

Crosspoint Christian took their victory against Quilcene when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-2. Will Crosspoint Christian repeat their success, or does Quilcene have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
