The Midview Middies will venture away from home to square off against the Chardon Hilltoppers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Midview has given up an average of 7.4 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Midview fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Avon on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 13-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. Middies fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Eagles since on Thursday.

Dezirae Thomas was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in four of her six plate appearances with three runs and one double. Nina Ballachino was another key player, going 2-for-6 with two RBI and one run.

Steele typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Chardon proved too difficult a challenge. They never let the Comets get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hilltoppers.

The result came thanks to Alexa Anderson's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Chardon got a massive performance out of Emma Anderson, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs Anderson has posted since back in April. Sierra Taylor also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Chardon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They are 7-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Midview's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-9. As for Chardon, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.
