Basketball Recap: Emma Bogges Key Part of a Team Effort in Bears Win

Cheyenne/Reydon lost to Laverne back in January of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Cheyenne/Reydon Bears were the clear victor by a 57-37 margin over the Laverne Tigers. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Cheyenne/Reydon got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Emma Bogges out in front who went 7 of 9 on her way to 17 points and three steals. Bogges' afternoon made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kimbo Denney, who went 5 for 8 en route to 14 points along with six boards and three steals.

Cheyenne/Reydon has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Laverne, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.

Cheyenne/Reydon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 51-35 defeat against Seiling on the 24th. Laverne has also already played their next matchup, a 68-9 win against Duke on the 25th.
