Basketball Recap: Brewster Comes Up Short

Brewster lost against Liberty Bell back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Brewster Bears were beaten by the Liberty Bell Mountain Lions 75-27. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 259th, while the Mountain Lions are ranked 89th).

When it comes to explaining why Brewster lost, don't look at Grant Baker. Despite the final result, he posted eight points and seven rebounds.

Brewster dropped their record down to 2-10 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Liberty Bell, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Brewster has already played their next contest, a 69-36 defeat against Lakeside on the 11th. As for Liberty Bell, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 71-36 victory against Bridgeport on the 14th.
