Baseball Recap: East Wilkes Cardinals vs. South Stokes Sauras
There's no place like home for East Wilkes, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They skirted past the South Stokes Sauras 8-7. This was a revenge game for the Cardinals: when they faced off against the Sauras last Tuesday, they had to take a 9-7 loss.
Dalton Wood was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
