Recap: Quincy Trojans vs. Portola Tigers
The Quincy Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 67-52 to Portola. Quincy has not had much luck with Portola recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Portola to victory, but perhaps none more so than Connor Sheridan, who dropped a triple-double on 25 points, 20 rebounds, and 12 blocks. Sheridan is crushing the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Magnus Berg, who scored 24 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Quincy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 13 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-19 record this season. As for Portola, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-9.
Quincy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Portola also has no future games currently scheduled.
