Baseball Recap: Berkeley Carroll Takes a Loss

After flying high against Leman Manhattan Prep two weeks ago, Berkeley Carroll came back down to earth. The Lions fell just short of the Riverdale Country Falcons by a score of 4-3 on Monday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2015.

Zach Powell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. Powell is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Carson Kassabian was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Berkeley Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 1-3-1. As for Riverdale Country, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

As of now, neither Berkeley Carroll nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
