Basketball Recap: Fullerton Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

Fullerton extended their home winning streak to six games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Kane Wetovick. The Fullerton Warriors secured a 54-49 W over the Elgin/Pope John Wolfpack on Tuesday thanks in part to Wetovick, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 16 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Fullerton's points.

Fullerton is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.1 points per game. As for Elgin/Pope John, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 9-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fullerton will be taking part in a tournament against Palmer at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Fullerton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.9 points per game this season. As for Elgin/Pope John, they will take on Stuart at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Stuart will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Elgin/Pope John surely won't give up without a fight.
