Softball Recap: Baraboo Finds Home Field Redemption Against Mcfarland

There's no place like home for Baraboo, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top against the McFarland Spartans by a score of 6-3 on Tuesday. The Thunderbirds haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Zeva Valley was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Emma Pichler, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Baraboo was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Baraboo's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for McFarland, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Baraboo is set to square off against their familiar foe Portage at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, McFarland will challenge rival Mount Horeb at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
