Basketball Recap: Belvidere North Takes a Loss

Belvidere North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They lost 57-34 to the Rockford Auburn Knights. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Blue Thunder have suffered since January 8th.

Rockford Auburn's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amir Danforth, who went 7 for 11 en route to 18 points. Tazheer Henderson was another key player, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 12 boards.

Belvidere North's loss dropped their record down to 6-19. As for Rockford Auburn, they moved to 13-11 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Belvidere North has already played their next matchup, a 60-47 defeat against Hononegah on the 31st. As for Rockford Auburn, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-66 victory against Harlem on the 31st.
