The Alief Elsik Rams will challenge the Foster Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Alief Elsik is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.
Alief Elsik barely beat Alief Hastings the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rams put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 13-7 victory on Tuesday. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Catherine Vasquez made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up six earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Vasquez was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Gabriela Jimenez was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-5. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Angela Roldan was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
Alief Elsik always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They are 5-2 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Foster put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's fifth consecutive shutout on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand George Ranch a 5-0 shutout.
Foster also got a great performance from Lizzy Yeager as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over 6.2 innings pitched. Yeager has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jordan Tosch, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Aliyah Hernandez, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Foster's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Alief Elsik, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.
Friday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Alief Elsik hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .453. However, it's not like Foster struggles in that department as they've averaged .332. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
