Recap: Victoria East Titans vs. Gregory-Portland Wildcats
The Gregory-Portland Wildcats typically have all the answers at home, but on Wednesday the Victoria East Titans proved too difficult a challenge. They enjoyed a cozy 52-36 win over the Wildcats. The win was nothing new for Victoria East as they're now sitting on three straight.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Madison Kilgore, who scored four points along with nine rebounds and four blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Lara, who scored five points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Victoria East has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. As for Gregory-Portland, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Victoria East will take on Victoria West at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Victoria West has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 27. As for Gregory-Portland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Miller at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
