It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Holton ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They managed a 46-40 win over the Tonganoxie Chieftains. While the Wildcats didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Holton's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Tonganoxie, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-3 record.

Holton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 50-45 loss against Eudora on the 24th. As for Tonganoxie, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 63-47 defeat against Liberal on the 25th.
