Softball Recap: Lake Highland Prep Takes a Loss

Lake Highland Prep fell victim to Geneva and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 16-0 to the Knights. The loss continues a trend for the Highlanders in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost three in a row.

Lake Highland Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Geneva, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Coming up, Lake Highland Prep will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Orangewood Christian at 4:30 p.m. The Rams have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.85 runs per game on average), something the Highlanders will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Geneva, they are taking a road trip to square off against The First Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Royals will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight.
