Soccer Recap: Portland Plays to a Tie

For the first time since back in March, Portland was forced to settle for a draw on Tuesday. They and the Pope John Paul II Knights finished up on equal footing with a 3-3 draw.

Brayan Figueroa and Wes Grandmaison scored all three of Portland's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 19 goals.

With that draw, Portland's record moves to 7-1-2. Meanwhile, Pope John Paul II's record is now 3-4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Portland will face off against Greenbrier at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pope John Paul II, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against Ensworth at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Ensworth will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Pope John Paul II surely won't give up without a fight.
