Recap: Cranfills Gap Lions vs. Gholson
The Cranfills Gap Lions were the 60-40 winner over Gholson when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Cranfills Gap fell to Gholson 45-39. Cranfills Gap has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Gholson's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cayden Thomas, who scored 14 points. Aaron Salinas was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Cranfills Gap's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Gholson, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cranfills Gap will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Abbott at 7:30 p.m. on December 18th. Gholson will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Bynum at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. Bynum will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1592nd, while Gholson is ranked 637th).
