Baseball Recap: Willard's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

Willard fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Neosho on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2. The Tigers were red-hot at the plate heading into the match (they scored no less than ten runs in the nine contests prior), but the Wildcats' pitchers proved too tough.

With the loss, Willard broke their eight-game winning streak and moved their record to 30-5. As for Neosho, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5.
