Softball Recap: Smiths Station Takes a Loss

Smiths Station made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Auburn, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Panthers fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 4-2 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Panthers have suffered since February 18th.

Smiths Station has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-20-1 record this season. As for Auburn, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-14.

Looking ahead, Smiths Station will head out to square off against Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Auburn, they will welcome Beauregard at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
