Softball Recap: Independence Comes Up Short

Independence fell victim to Liberty and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 16-0 to the Redhawks. The loss continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Redhawks: they've now lost four in a row.

Independence's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Liberty, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-5.

Coming up, Independence will challenge Frisco at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Liberty, they will host Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Redhawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
