Preview: Erasmus Hall Dutchmen vs. Port Richmond Raiders
Erasmus Hall is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Port Richmond is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Erasmus Hall Dutchmen will take on the Port Richmond Raiders at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Erasmus Hall's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last four games.
Erasmus Hall can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent game on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Wagner 41-14 on the road. Given Erasmus Hall's advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 16th, while Wagner is ranked 187th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Saturday Port Richmond sidestepped Canarsie for a 23-20 victory. The win was just what Port Richmond needed coming off of a 28-0 loss in their prior contest.
Their wins bumped Erasmus Hall to 8-2 and Port Richmond to 4-4.
Everything came up roses for Erasmus Hall against Port Richmond in their previous matchup back in November of 2022 as the team secured a 47-0 win. Will Erasmus Hall repeat their success, or does Port Richmond have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
