Miller is 2-7 against Early since March of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Miller Cardinals will head out on the road to take on the Early Panthers at 5:00 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

After only two runs in their last contest, Miller made sure to put some runs up on the board against Spokane on Saturday. Miller put the hurt on Spokane with a sharp 14-6 victory.

Meanwhile, Early is still undefeated this season after their matchup against Halfway on Thursday, but Halfway came as close as anyone has to beating them. Early came out on top in a nail-biter against Halfway and snuck past 5-3.

Jacob Presley made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over eight innings while giving up three earned runs off nine hits (and not a single walk). Presley was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times he's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Garret Loftis, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI.
