Softball Game Preview: McNair Eagles vs. Edison Vikings

McNair is 0-10 against Edison since May of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Eagles will host the Vikings at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

McNair came up short against Chavez on Tuesday, falling 10-3. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Naohmi Tapia made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Edison lost 14-4 to Tokay on Wednesday.

Angeleya Miranda was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Escobar, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

McNair now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Edison, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Edison's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: McNair hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .345. It's a different story for Edison, though, as they've only averaged .253. Will they be able to contain McNair's hitters?
