Football Game Preview: Moorestown Quakers vs. Pemberton Hornets

Moorestown is a perfect 3-0 against Pemberton since October of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Quakers will welcome the Hornets at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Moorestown and seven for Pemberton.

Moorestown is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Delran on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Quakers were outmatched by the Bears and fell 38-7. The Quakers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.

Meanwhile, Pemberton fell victim to Bordentown and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 35-0 loss at the hands of the Scotties. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 281st, while the Scotties are ranked 122nd).

Pemberton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Moorestown, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Everything came up roses for Moorestown against Pemberton when the teams last played back in October of 2023, as the team secured a 41-0 win. Will the Quakers repeat their success, or do the Hornets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
