Indianapolis Bishop Chatard is 1-9 against Cathedral since March of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Trojans will face off against the Fighting Irish at 5:30 p.m. Indianapolis Bishop Chatard is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

Indianapolis Bishop Chatard is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They never let Purdue Polytechnic get on the board and left with a 17-0 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Trojans needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Taylar Cody made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since May 3rd.

In other pitching news, Kinsey Reed looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Anni Felts, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Caskey, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Logansport hit Cathedral with a five-run second inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Fighting Irish fell just short of the Berries by a score of 6-4. It was the first time this season that the Fighting Irish let down their fans at home.

Indianapolis Bishop Chatard has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Cathedral, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 23-2.

Indianapolis Bishop Chatard suffered a grim 13-3 defeat to Cathedral in their previous matchup on May 10th. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
