Football Game Preview: Glencoe Yellowjackets vs. Winfield Pirates + How To Watch

The Glencoe Yellowjackets will take on the Winfield Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Glencoe had been on a four-game streak of scoring at least 31 points, but Piedmont put an end to it on Friday. The Yellowjackets were dealt a 46-0 defeat at the hands of the Bulldogs. The game marked the first time this season in which the Yellowjackets were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Winfield had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.2 points) and they went ahead and made it six two weeks ago. They breezed past the Eagles to the tune of 47-7. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by 22 points or more this season.

Glencoe better keep an eye on Garret Beasley. He was instrumental in Winfield's win, picking up 91 receiving yards and one score. Those 91 receiving yards gave Beasley a new career-high.

With the loss, Glencoe broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-3. As for Winfield, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.
