Basketball Recap: New Life Christian Academy Takes a Loss

New Life Christian Academy came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They had to suffer through a 79-27 loss at the hands of Mount Calvary Christian Academy.

Mount Calvary Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jentzen Wade, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 15 boards. Wade has been hot, having posted 12 or more rebounds the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Howell, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 11 boards.

New Life Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. New Life Christian Academy will take on Greater Vision Academy at 5:30 p.m. on the 13th. As for Mount Calvary Christian Academy, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Pitt County P at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
