Basketball Recap: Dover Takes a Loss

Dover lost against Lexington back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Dover Crimson Tornadoes fell 52-40 to the Lexington Minutemen. While losing is never fun, the Crimson Tornadoes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 213th, while the Minutemen are ranked 84th).

This is the second loss in a row for Dover and nudges their season record down to 9-7. As for Lexington, they pushed their record up to 14-2 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Dover will square off against Steubenville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lexington, they will challenge Mansfield Senior at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mansfield Senior knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Lexington likes a good challenge.
