Softball Recap: Dequincy's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

After a string of four wins, DeQuincy's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 9-4 to the St. Louis Catholic Saints. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Saints apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Bryah LeDay was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

DeQuincy's defeat dropped their record down to 17-12. As for St. Louis Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. DeQuincy will square off against Iowa at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Yellowjackets have averaged an impressive 11.2 runs per game this season. As for St. Louis Catholic, they will challenge St. Edmund at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
