Basketball Recap: Leakey Eagles vs. D'Hanis Cowboys
Leakey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 28th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 61-21 loss at the hands of the D'Hanis Cowboys. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 73-26 back in December of 2024.
D'Hanis' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brent Frosch, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 steals. With that strong performance, Frosch is now averaging an impressive 2.4 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Kase Braden, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 boards.
Leakey's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for D'Hanis, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-4.
