Verona waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Glen Ridge Ridgers by a score of 11-6. This was payback for the Hillbillies, who suffered a 12-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Verona pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Glen Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Verona will take on Cedar Grove at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Glen Ridge, they will face off against Montclair at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
