Baseball Recap: The O'neal School Wins Going Away Against Northwood Temple Academy

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The O'Neal School walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Northwood Temple Academy Eagles with a sharp 18-4 win on Tuesday. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Parker Maxwell was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has become a key player for The O'Neal School: the team is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-8-1 otherwise. Maxwell was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Max Pashley was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaiden Taveras, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.

The O'Neal School was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The O'Neal School's record is now 6-8-1. As for Northwood Temple Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

The O'Neal School has already played their next contest, an 8-1 loss against Village Christian Academy on the 8th. Northwood Temple Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
