West Genesee took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Cicero-North Syracuse, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats had just enough and edged out the Northstars 5-4 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wildcats have posted since April 21st.

West Genesee's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-7. As for Cicero-North Syracuse, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 8-4.

West Genesee wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 15-3 win against Westhill on the 14th. As for Cicero-North Syracuse, they have also already played their next matchup, a 13-4 victory against Fayetteville-Manlius on the 14th.
