Basketball Recap: Cape Cod Academy Takes a Loss

Cape Cod Academy played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Monomoy Sharks 71-44. The Seahawks haven't had much luck with the Sharks recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Despite the loss, Cape Cod Academy had strong showings from Harrison Lauf, who posted 16 points and three steals, and Mike Berry, who put up 12 points and eight boards. The contest was Lauf's third in a row with at least ten points.

Cape Cod Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Monomoy, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cape Cod Academy will host Nauset Regional at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cape Cod Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.2 points per game this season. Monomoy has already played their next match (against Mashpee), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
