Basketball Recap: South Gallia Comes Up Short

South Gallia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost to the Western Indians on the road by a 70-55 margin. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 707th, while the Indians are ranked 334th).

South Gallia's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Western, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Gallia will challenge Symmes Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Symmes Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.8 points per game this season. As for Western, they will take on Northwest at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
