Softball Game Preview: Mt. Carmel Golden Aces vs. Harrisburg Bulldogs

The Mt. Carmel Golden Aces will head out to challenge the Harrisburg Bulldogs at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Mt. Carmel's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Harrisburg's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Mt. Carmel fell victim to Newton and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 1-0. The Golden Aces have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last game, Harrisburg made sure to put some runs up on the board against Frankfort on Thursday. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 12-3 margin over the Redbirds. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Mt. Carmel's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Harrisburg, their win bumped their record up to 13-4.

Mt. Carmel was able to grind out a solid victory over Harrisburg when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 9-5. Will the Golden Aces repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
