Basketball Recap: Easley Green Wave vs. Westside Rams

After losing to Westside the last time they met, Easley decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Green Wave came out on top against the Rams by a score of 76-69 on Sunday.

Easley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was River Andrews out in front who dropped a double-double with 29 points and 16 rebounds. Those 16 boards gave Andrews a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Miles Campbell, who shot 56% from the field on his way to 20 points along with eight rebounds and five assists.

Easley was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They racked up seven more assists than Westside's also-impressive total of ten.

Another player making a difference was Jonovan Webb, who posted 15 points and five boards.

The victory got Easley back to even at 1-1. As for Westside, they dropped their record down to 1-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Easley has already played their next matchup, an 87-58 defeat against North Augusta on the 24th. As for Westside, they will head out to face off against Pendleton at 8:00 p.m. on the 1st.
