Baseball Game Preview: Walhalla Razorbacks vs. Pendleton Bulldogs

Walhalla is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Monday. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pendleton Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Walhalla managed to slip by Christ Church Episcopal the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Razorbacks lost 9-1 to the Cavaliers on Thursday. The matchup marked the Razorbacks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Walhalla got a good showing from RUSH HARVEY, who tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. HARVEY has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Walhalla saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was COLLIN PHILLIPS, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Pendleton suffered their closest defeat since May 6, 2025 on Friday. They fell just short of Belton-Honea Path by a score of 4-2.

Walhalla's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Pendleton, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-6.

Walhalla beat Pendleton 3-0 when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Will the Razorbacks repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
