It was a good run, but Oshkosh West unfortunately witnessed the end of their 14-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Kimberly Papermakers by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Papermakers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.
Oshkosh West took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-19, 19-25, 25-16, 15-9.
When it comes to explaining why Oshkosh West lost, don't look at Olivia Xiong. Despite the final result, she had nine digs and two assists. Kayana Turner also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
