Basketball Recap: Carroll Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Carroll can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 51-49 victory over the Ponitz Career Tech Golden Panthers. The Patriots have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Golden Panthers, too.

Carroll's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-4. As for Ponitz Career Tech, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Carroll will finish 2024 at home by hosting Troy at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Carroll has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests. As for Ponitz Career Tech, they are taking a road trip to square off against Chaminade Julienne Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
