Basketball Recap: Becker Skates Past Chisago Lakes Area with Ease

After losing to Chisago Lakes Area the last time they met, Becker decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Becker Bulldogs claimed a resounding 82-55 win over the Chisago Lakes Area Wildcats. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 173rd, while the Wildcats are ranked 382nd), the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Becker to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bryce Paumen, who posted 23 points. Another player making a difference was Nathan Weiss, who put up 17 points.

Becker is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30 points. As for Chisago Lakes Area, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Becker will host St. Francis at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chisago Lakes Area, they will be playing at home against Monticello at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
